| Spirit Radio’s programming is a mix of uplifting music and positive speech. Spirit Radio will also introduce more speech and news and have a daily talk show, when we go to AM and FM. Our talk show will report issues that are relevant in Irish society today, focusing on the issues that really matter, rather than favouring more sensational stories. We will open issues up for debate and bring experts together to discuss the topic from various viewpoints in search for positive solutions.
Spirit’s mission is to broadcast challenging and thought-provoking radio that will help listeners make a personal connection with God. Our Speech based content will serve to demonstrate the relevance of faith in Ireland by providing a forum for debate on social, community and moral issues through a Christian lens. Spirit Radio will also have programming directed at young people, as we go more contemporary in the evenings from 7-10pm local time. This will aim to affirm, encourage and inspire young people. The day will also be peppered with short motivational features that will prompt listeners to think about matters of faith. This will all roll out during 2010 in phase 2 of the station.
Spirit’s music is a mix of contemporary Christian music and secular music with positive lyrics. The station will play contemporary Christian artists like Jeremy Camp, Matthew West and the Newsboys along with crossover secular artists like U2, The Fray and Carolina Liar.
